Monochrome Competitions - Prints & Projected Images

Monochrome Competitions:  Each Member may submit up to 3 prints and up to 3 Projected Images.
Rule 1 - Monochrome shall be as defined by FIAP as 'A black and white work fitting from the very dark grey (black) to the very clear grey (white) is a monochrome work with the various shades of grey.  A black and white work toned entirely in a single colour will remain a monochrome work able to stand in the black and white category; such a work can be reproduced in black and white in the catalogue of a salon under FIAP Patronage.  On the other hand a black and white work modified by a partial toning or by the addition of one colour becomes a colour work (polychrome) to stand in the colour category’.
Rule 2 – Entries to the monochrome competition shall be declared as either “Traditional” or “Creative” by the photographer at the time of entry, by means of a suffix of “T” (Traditional) or “C” (Creative) added to the entry class and on the list sent to the Competition Secretary under Rule 1.14.

The Judge will assess and be asked to comment on each image separately
The Judge will be asked to award 1st, 2nd and 3rd places.
The judge may award as many Highly Commended's as merit it.
The total awards to be not more than one third of the entries.
Points will be awarded as follows;- First Place – 6 points, Second Place – 5 points, Third place – 4 points, Highly Commended – 2  points

Bonus points will be awarded to those in Beginners and Intermediate sections.
1st, 2nd & 3rd - 2 bonus points. Highly commended - 1 bonus point.
